Introduction
Pin Pathways (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates this store and website, including all related information, content, features, tools, products, and services (the “Services”). We use Shopify to host and power the Services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you visit, interact with, or make a purchase through the Services or otherwise communicate with us. If anything in our Terms of Service conflicts with this Privacy Policy as to privacy matters, this Privacy Policy controls.
By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understand this Privacy Policy.
Personal Information We Collect
“Personal information” means information that identifies or can reasonably be linked to you. It does not include anonymized or de-identified data. Depending on how you use the Services and applicable law, we may collect:
-
Contact details (name, email, phone, billing/shipping address).
-
Account details (username, password, preferences).
-
Transaction details (items viewed, cart/wishlist, purchases, returns, exchanges, order history).
-
Payment information (card type, payment method, transaction confirmations). Payments are processed by Shopify and/or their payment providers; we do not store full card numbers.
-
Device & network data (IP address, browser, device identifiers).
-
Usage data (pages visited, links clicked, features used, timestamps).
-
Communications (content of emails, forms, and chat messages with us).
-
Inferences drawn from the above to improve and personalize the experience.
Sources of Personal Information
-
Directly from you (creating an account, placing an order, contacting support).
-
Automatically via cookies and similar technologies when you browse the Services.
-
Service providers (e.g., Shopify, analytics, shipping, customer support tools).
-
Affiliates and partners (see “Affiliates: Pin Hive LLC” below).
-
Other third parties consistent with this Policy.
Cookies & Similar Technologies
We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the site, remember preferences, analyze performance, and personalize content/ads. You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Some features may not function properly without certain cookies.
How We Use Personal Information
We use personal information to:
-
Provide and improve the Services (process orders, ship products, manage accounts, remember preferences, recommend items).
-
Personalize & market (send offers and updates by email/SMS/mail; show relevant ads on our site or others).
-
Support & communicate (respond to inquiries, provide customer service).
-
Security & fraud prevention (authenticate users; detect and address illegal or malicious activity).
-
Legal compliance (comply with laws, respond to lawful requests, enforce terms and policies).
Crisp Chat, Helpdesk & “Browsing” Function
We use Crisp (a customer messaging/helpdesk platform) to provide live chat, email ticketing, and customer support. When you interact with us via chat or email, Crisp processes the content of your messages and may collect technical and usage data such as your IP address, browser/device details, pages viewed, session timestamps, and approximate location.
-
Crisp includes a session/browsing view that shows us page paths and on-site interactions so we can troubleshoot issues, improve the user experience, and for educational/training purposes for our team.
-
Crisp stores conversation history so we can reference prior requests and improve support quality.
-
You may request deletion of your chat transcripts by contacting us (see “Contact” below).
Crisp acts as our service provider/processor. Data may be processed outside your country. For more on Crisp’s privacy practices, see Crisp’s published privacy documentation.
Affiliates: Pin Hive LLC
Pin Pathways is an independently operated subsidiary of Pin Hive LLC. Because our customer support and CRM tools (including Crisp) are shared across entities, authorized personnel at Pin Hive LLC may access or process your personal information to help us provide customer support, training, analytics, fraud prevention, fulfillment coordination, and to operate shared business systems. Pin Hive LLC will handle such information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and will not use it for their separate marketing without your consent where required by law.
How We Share Personal Information
We share personal information in these situations:
-
With service providers (e.g., Shopify, payments, hosting, security, analytics, email/SMS, chat/helpdesk, shipping/fulfillment) who process data for us under contract.
-
With business/marketing partners to perform advertising and measurement consistent with this Policy. Depending on your location, you may have the right to opt out of “sharing” for targeted advertising (see “Your Rights & Choices”).
-
With affiliates/within our corporate group (including Pin Hive LLC) as described above.
-
At your direction or with your consent (e.g., social login, shipping carriers).
-
For legal reasons or business transfers (to comply with law, enforce terms, protect rights, or in connection with mergers, acquisitions, financing, or bankruptcy).
Relationship with Shopify
Our store is hosted by Shopify, which processes personal information to provide and improve the Services. Shopify may also process data as an independent controller for certain activities (e.g., fraud prevention, compliance, platform improvements, advertising features across merchants). For details on Shopify’s practices and how to exercise related rights, see the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and Privacy Portal.
Third-Party Websites & Social Features
Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience. Their privacy and security practices are their own; review their policies before using. Content shared in public or social spaces may be visible to others.
Children’s Data
The Services are not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of majority in their jurisdiction. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us to request deletion. As of the effective date, we do not have actual knowledge of “selling” or “sharing” personal information of individuals under 16.
Security & Retention
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method is 100% secure. We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Services, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
Your Rights & Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access/know, delete, correct, and port your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing such as “sale” or “sharing” for targeted advertising.
-
You can opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in our emails.
-
If you visit our site with Global Privacy Control (GPC) enabled, where recognized by law we will treat it as a request to opt out for that browser/device (and your account if we can associate it). Other than GPC, we do not currently respond to other “Do Not Track” signals.
To exercise rights, use the mechanisms on the Services (where available) or contact us (see “Contact”). We may need to verify your identity and, where allowed, you may authorize an agent to act for you.
International Transfers
We may transfer, store, and process personal information outside your country (including in the U.S. and E.U.). Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.
Complaints & Appeals
If you have concerns about our handling of your personal information, contact us. Depending on your location, you may appeal our decision directly to us or lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version with the “Last updated” date and provide additional notice where required.
